Natu,

Welcome to the Mifos community. These are perfect questions for our Mifos
User¹s mailing list, so I¹m moving the discussion to that list.

To add on to some of Marcos comments

1. We have a feature called LSIM (Loan Schedule Independent of Meeting). It
doesn¹t fully de-couple from the meeting schedule, but it allows you to
define the repayment date of the loan separate from the assigned meeting
schedule. You can find more information here:
http://www.mifos.org/developers/wiki/LSIM/?searchterm=lsim

2. We do allow overpayment of repayments, but we do not apply them the way
you indicate. When we create a repayment schedule, the interest is set for
the whole loan and is not forgiven unless the client repayments the rest of
the loan in one payment (Use ³repay loan² action on the loan detail page).
So overpayments would apply to the next payment in this order : penalty ->
fees -> interest -> principal.

We do realize that this type of requirement is becoming more and more
common, so that may change some day down the road but it isn¹t currently on
the roadmap.

3. We don¹t currently support more than one disbursal to a client for a
loan (but this has come up before). I would suggest looking at disbursing
two loans and utilizing the grace period on the second so repayments start
after the first one¹s payments are completed. That being said, there is
currently a bug with grace period
(http://mifosforge.jira.com/browse/MIFOS-1994), but this is being fixed in
the next release.
