I was probably not clear enough in my first email on this. What I meant to
say was:
I'm happy to help anyone who believes adhoc reporting is really important
to them.
One adhoc reporting solution (amongst many) is provided in the Pentaho
software that we use for Mifos BI.
Once the area to do adhoc reporting on is agreed (e.g. let's agree to start
by reporting on disbursals and loan payments) it is quite easy to set up
and for end-users to immediately produce basic adhoc reports and exports.
This capability is available (and good enough) in the version of Pentaho
used in Mifos BI which is 3.6 (and later versions).
As I understand it the better out of the box ad-hoc reporting in Pentaho
4.0 is called "Interactive Reporting" and is only available on the
Enterprise (paid) version.
