Essentially, Tally uses the names of accounts as the GL Codes (how   
flexible!?!). Also, in the mifosChartOfAccounts, it is possible to use  
alphabetic names for the GL Codes instead of the default numeric ones  
(at least it worked for me when i tried it quite some while ago), i.e.  
"Bank Account 1" instead of 11201, etc. Since Tally is inflexible, the  
tweak has to be on the Mifos end. Watch the startup logs closely to  
ensure Mifos has picked up changes, and query the 'coa' table in the  
database to verify.
