Have you tried looking at the data migration toolkit developed by SunGard?

This is currently being extended by Hugo Technologies. We are aiming to
make this the standard tool used for migrating data.
In the past a number of different approaches have been taken. Others on the
list can share their feedback. We've documented the data migration process
