The functional spec looks good.
Most (all) MFI's that I have seen use specialised resources for doing the
actual data entry into Mifos (In some of the smaller MFI's, this is done by the
branch mangers/ assistant managers while the larger ones use dedicated data
entry operators in their branches).
Loan Officers are usually not computer savvy and clients are registered with
MFI's after filling up paper forms, data entry operators then proceed to feed
this data into Mifos. I am a bit skeptical of the utility of this feature in
the day to day operations of MFI's.
The maximum utility of this feature would be during data Migration, but without
the ability to disburse loans to the newly created Clients etc, I guess it
would come across as a half baked feature
