This printer printed correctly in Telugu through Windows XP operating system. Clarification on C-Dac. This is a wing of the Government of India- Department of Electronics . They have customised Linux under the brand BOSS LINUX. This version of linux can work in 10 Indian languages, making it easier for people without English knowledge to start working on computers/ laptops . It comes bundled with Open Office where new users can start to learn typing in their native language. Using this version of linux/ open office, our field supervisors who are educated only in Telugu- Indian language, completed most of the data entry work for conversion to MIFOS. They took only 4 days to learn typing in Telugu and thereafter, started entering data in native language- Telugu , as we are capturing member data, address, etc in Telugu language . Prior to this they had never worked on computers.
