After so many attempts to fix the Java out of memory exception with a mifos deployment i was working on, i thought i would share something that worked for me.
Mifos mainly uses JRE to run, so switching to various Tomcat server versions (Tomcat 6.0.35 etc) did not help until i uninstalled Tomcat, updated to jre 7 (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/ downloads/jre-7u4-download-1591157.html), then reinstalled Tomcat and then deployed Mifos. 2 days now without restating Tomcat So setting up Mifos on the latest JRE 7 version (Something I always ignored) and configuring the environment variables including CATALINA_OPTS -Xms1024M -Xmx1024M -XX:MaxPermSize=512m was my fix ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
