Hello everyone,
As we discussed during last week's user meetup we want to make our IRC
chatroom an active place where anyone can come to ask a question or simply
connect with another Mifos community member.
This can be a more real-time two-way form of communication outside the
mailing lists to help us stay connected across so many time zones.
When you start up each day or whenever you're working on Mifos, could you
make it a habit to log into IRC. I myself am guilty of never logging in so
need to get in the habit myself.
What's great about IRC is it's entirely transparent and all our
conversations are logged so we can easily search them and find what we
discussed later on.
For those familiar with IRC and running an IRC client locally, simply join
the #mifos channel on freenode.
For those new to IRC, you can use our web client so it's just like an
online chatroom you join:
http://mifos.org/community/communications/mifos-irc
All the details about IRC and where to find the logs are on that page.
Thanks,
Ed
