Nayan,

As discussed,

Would be good to first select:

a) If the user is transferring to the client’s own account or another
client’s account

b) Also, if it I a loan account or savings account and then to capture the
account number

Agree that account number would be a more efficient way. However, if there are
users who want to select account via office/customer name, then it could impact
them. Hence my suggestion is to, show a text box to get account number and also
retain the existing feature of selecting by Client Name. Either one may be used
depending on the preference of the user.

Other Mifos Users,

Would be good to know if anyone using the current feature of selecting Office,
Client, Account Type and Account # - (with a couple of seconds delay in
populating each of them). Please let me or Nayan know if you think that the
current approach should be retained and should not be removed.

Thanks
Binny

Subject: More usable Fund transfer screen

Hi Binny,

At present Jananidhi has hard time in transferring fund between s/b account. As
during the fund transfer one has to select the beneficiary from client
drop-down which lists all the possible client in that branch, which not
practical to select the client as list is not alphabetically sorted and each
branch have approximately 1500 clients :(

I am proposing attached screen as the better solution and also we can have
button that says "to other person's account" or "another account of the same
client" and then display appropriate screen.

Please refer attached screen.

@Subbu, if others agreed please convert this thread into JIRA improvement

Thanks and Regards,
Nayan Ambali
