An open source tool you could aslo look at is Weka ( http://www.cs.waikato.ac.nz/ml/weka/) which is an open source set of machine learning algorirthms which you could build into your data model to derive a credit score. I can provide a link to background on how such an integration with Mifos X and Weka might look.
