Hello everyone,
With the first phase of our self-service APIs
<https://mifosforge.jira.com/wiki/display/MIFOSX/Customer+Self+Service> in
place, clients can now authenticate via http and log in to view their own
account details and transactions, transfer between their own accounts, and
make repayments to their loans via their savings accounts.
This quarter, the core team is working additional APIs to create/apply for
new loans via self-service channels and transfer to accounts of other
clients of the same financial institution.
With the APIs in place, we are working on making available reference web
and mobile user interfaces leveraging these APIs so we'll be having both a
web app for browser-based online banking and an Android app for
smartphone-based online banking.
While the scope of functionality available is simple, we want to come up
with a clean, simple, yet attractive design for our reference app that can
be deployed out of the box for financial institutions or extended by
partners.
We'll look to modern interface like that of Bank Simple for inspiration but
want to gather the requirements and use cases from the community on what
they want the user experience to be like?
- What is the data that is most important to be displayed to customers?
- What client-facing details are edited the most?
- What visualizations and reports do your clients care about the most?
- What dashboards would you like to display to clients?

functionalities clients would like to be able to do via self-service
