I'm pleased to announced the Mifos Initiative has been selected as a
mentoring organization for the 2017 Google Summer of Code. We're honored
and excited to be participating in GSOC for our sixth year.
Our team of mentors is excited to be working with the next generation of
open source contributors on the list of project ideas that we're finalizing
at

We will be discussing this ideas list at an our developer meeting happening
this Thursday at 1300GMT via GoToTraining. Register to join at

Projects will primarily be focused on apps built on top of Apache Fineract
but some projects will have direct contribution to the Apache Fineract
platform as well.
All prospective students should send an email to both the Apache Fineract
developer and Mifos developer mailing lists. Please include your name, your
year of school, your skills, and the project(s) you're interested in.
What's critical to a successful application is being an active part of our
community and making multiple pull requests during the application period
as we want to understand your ability to communicate, collaborate and
contribute in an open source community as well as demonstrate your ability
to make meaningful contributions according to our processes and guidelines
via GitHub.
