Hi Sr Finance, You should be able to connect to your instance for several reasons such as maintenance or troubleshooting. You can setup SSH keys for you to connect to your AWS (e.g., EC2 instance) then from there, as @Awasum suggested, you can perform a manual mysqldump to backup your database or a script then let cron jobs run this script automatically (e.g., midnight).
