Hi Frans, First, I have to let you know that you have posted a very good question, I'll try to explain with my understanding of the same
Standing instruction is posted by "Execute Standing Instruction" Scheduler Job which picks the Eligible Instructions and executes as per the parameters configured for each standing instruction for that particular day. In the process of executing the instructions, if any transaction fails(due to no balance, accounting closure imposed, etc) the job will not retry to post those transactions again, in fact, the job will fail for that day and will not execute the remaining transactions as well. Also, The job will not post any backdated transactions which means that if the job fails or doesn't run on a particular day there is no alternate provision currently in the system to execute those standing instructions for those missed or failed days. There is no actual alert system when it fails, However, a possible workaround is to overcome this is by building a report to monitor the job status every day. and a report around the standing instruction table(m_account_transfer_standing_instructions) to monitor the failed and successful transactions. And no other action can be attached to the standing instructions other than Account transfer and Loan payment. Hope this helps, Let me know if you have any queries.
