Hello Frans, Have you simply tried to update your Fineract version to the latest stable 1.4 release? As of the Fineract 1.2 release, there's full support for MySQL 2.7. You could also then upgrade your community-app instance separately to the latest upstream version.
If you can't do that on your own, we can assist in providing a war file that you could deploy. The Mifos X release you are on currently is built on an earlier version of Fineract; the latest Mifos X release coming out will be built on the forthcoming Fineract 1.5 release.
