Is this the same reason why it is difficult to get Mifos work on local network, I have successfully installed mifos both with docker and without docker. But I can’t get them work on my local network. If it is possible can anyone assist on the steps to follow to set this up. It is mentioned clearly that it will run only on localhost, and localhost is a DNS alias for your own machine (same system on which installation was done). Since cloud system by definition is not physical but a virtual machine to which you connect remotely, a custom installation will need to be done with appropriate changes to the UI project (to enable IP address instead of localhost) and environment variables which are set in docker-compose.yml file for your choice of database (MySQL or PostgreSQL). If you require to expose the IP to external connections (intranet or internet), you have to secure the connections (HTTPs) using digital certificates, setup a firewall, setup a Two-way SSL Authentication, use an API Gateway, install a SQL proxy, use an antivirus or antimalware, etc. Depending on your deployment platform the options for achieving it are different.
