I was taking a look at the Mikrotik training schedule tonight and I noticed
that Rick Frey is offering the training on-line in the month of January. He
is offering the training on the first 4 levels of the curriculum. I was
curious if anyone else has ever taken this or a similar course? I did notice
that after completion of the course you receive a cert of completion, as
opposed to the Mikrotik certification that you would receive while taking a
formal class.

Also, aside from bragging rights, does the certification from formal
training offer any other perks besides knowledge? I have always wanted to
take the MTCRE course, but was told that I couldn't receive a cert if I
wasn't MTCNA certified, but was more than free to take the class. I honestly
don't care about the certs, I more or less need the knowledge. Its been hard
trying to find the time to take these classes at these distant places. I do
make the trip to the Vegas WISPA show (vacation more or less), where it's
pretty easy to duck out to take a call or fix an issue. It likely wouldn't
be prudent to do that at a formal Mikrotik class.

I appreciate any input!
