FWIW, I had similar problems with OSPF while upgrading our equipment from 6.34.6 to 6.36. When one side of a link is the earlier version, and the other the later version, OSPF wouldn't propagate routes at all, until the other end was upgraded as well. After that, the network remained unstable because the routing tables on some of the routers are now changing back & forth between two different sets of routes, several times a minute. I'm still trying to pinpoint the problem. It seems most common when there are two routes between A and B, one of which is a PPTP tunnel over a third party network. It worked well enough prior to 6.36, but it's hard to tell whether the problems I'm seeing now are the result of introducing a bug, or fixing one.
