Never experienced an issue with running scripts, or even using fetch. Bear in
mind I would keep this to a local network and not try to perform this over a
WAN. You are absolutely right about keeping the scripts simple and contained
also.

Code versions normally do not have a consequence if the changelog is observed
(for script updates), then again, the only time anyone should really be
upgrading any production gear is if the features listed or bug fixes are needed
and have been thoroughly vetted in a lab environment.

Hopefully fetch works well for you. For some reason I find Mikrotik
scripts/schedules to be very unreliable, certainly through versions. It seems
every few months I need a new Mikrotik backup email script...

Syntax looks great, hopefully it's simple enough that it stays working.

On Primary DHCP Server:

:log warning "DHCP Leases Exported"

On Backup DHCP Server:

/tool fetch address=PRIMARY_IP_ADDRESS src-path=dhcp_leases.rsc
dst-path=dhcp_leases.rsc user=USERNAME mode=ftp password=PASSWORD;
/ip dhcp-server leases remove [find]
/import dhcp_leases.rsc

We have a Mikrotik DHCP server where there are a lot of "static"
assignments of IP specific addresses to MAC addresses.

I would like to have an automatic mechanism to copy them to the "backup"
DHCP server. Does anyone have a technique for doing this?
