Hi David,

Keep in mind that most Mikrotik (Routerboard) devices support being powered via 
POE
Check the specs and or the device for the specific models.

All of the such (Routerboard) devices can be powered via the DC power Jack as 
well as the POE-IN port at the same time, the internal circuitry of the 
Mikrotik will use the Higher voltage as primary power source, and the other as 
a secondary power source.
