Confirm that your default gateway on your computer is setup and correct,
and that this is the same IP that is on the LAN interface of the
Mikrotik box.
Even if your Masquerade rule was setup wrong you'd still be able to ping
the local public IP of your Mikrotik box.

world without issue from the mikrotik WAN side, but from from the LAN
side. I can't even ping the WAN interface in the router from the LAN
interface in the router. I'm stumped, i'm sure i'm missing something
