4.0betasomethingorother has good wireless performance. Starting with the first 4.0 (or maybe it was 4.1) wireless is total garbage. Early 4.x also have issues with Ethernet lockup and some other nonsense. Check the changelog. We've found 3.30 to be stable and meet our needs, though it seems they've completely stopped production of 3.x
