Whenever we have to go horizontal in the air with cat5, we generally
anchor a wire rope (galvanized, or stainless) between the buildings or
whatever. Complete with thimbles and ferrules. We then lash the cat5
to the rope, with a small amount of slack between the last lash point
and the structure we are going to/from.

Anyone here have experience hanging outdoor cat-5 without a messenger cable?
I think of numerous ways to anchor it on each end but I am curious how
others do it?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank You,
Mike
