We have an office complex where we have wired up 15 offices. Typically, we put in as many RB493s tied together as it takes, with each available port doing NAT/DHCP on a separate network.
In this case, we have fiber to the building, and we have gigabit access to Radiological Images, where a series of images can be quite large. So, having gigabit to each customer unit is required to "do it right". Obviously, I want something that can handle some pretty good "bursty" traffic. I would guess that only one or two units would actually be doing the big transfers at one time, but I want them to be super-fast... kinda get in, get the data, get done.. My considerations thus far have been a RB1100. Is there a better/faster/cheaper way to do this?
