I don't understand how quickly the user manager is updated, or how often.
When ever you make a change, its is done.
Sorry, I really was meaning how often the usage information is updated
from the bit counters to the usage store. I can see from a bit of very
basic testing that it's not quite real time. (at least it didn't look
that way to me).
What is the impact on my 750?
That depends greatly on many factors. Number of users, number of
active users, bandwidth, firewall rules, etc, etc, etc
Sure, hence my list query from people who might have some real world
experience and a bit of a feel for what these things can and can't do
and what I should expect and what sort of limits I should consider
before bailing to a bigger solution.
How much resource does my 750 have?
That depends on what RB750 you have.

Yes... I said 750, because I have RB750, RB750G and I'll have to start
buying RB750GL next as it seems we can't just get the RB750G with 680mhz
processor in it any more.
How much traffic can it deal with?
That depends on what RB750 you have.

Yes I saw the basic PPM details, but again was interested in a bit more
comment from people who have actually been using them to do stuff and
would suggest when they come off the rails.
How many pppoe sessions can it deal with?
That depends on what RB750 you have.

As above :)
I would use a 1u/2u rack server with some real horsepower and ram (and
I do) if you
have the option.
Yip, nice idea, but I don't have that option currently. That would add
a considerable cost to the project.
