It depends! (tm) How many customers you can handle depends on the upstream pipe, bandwidth allowed per customer, and quality of the connections to the AP overall. A bittorrent user with a pringles can 6 blocks away can kill the whole AP if the AP has to slow down just to talk to that user. But you probably know that. We are using 493Gs, same CPU, with 80 non-hotspot, fixed wireless mostly residential clients, UBNT AP and client radios, with mangle and queue tree rate limits, per IP only, between 1Mbps and 3Mbps. 60Mb RAM used, 11-40% CPU utilization, up to 15Mbps. -- Scott Lambert KC5MLE Unix SysAdmin [email protected] _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list [email protected] http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS
