Ok I have tracked a issue I have back to the Hotspot user limit (200 on the l4 license) vs the User Manager Session limit (20 on L4). I have been getting this error for a long long time in the logs.
echo: radius, debug timeout for 3f:66d echo: hotspot, warning, debug $username ($ipaddress): RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response It never effected the users being able to login, only the data accounting which we really did not use (we do set data rate limits). Then I happen to have full debug on trying to track down a sudden issue, where users are disconnected constantly and need to login again. echo: manager, debug current license allows only 20 active sessions in accounting request 2274, dropping What???? I must have misunderstood something. I thought the User Manager Session Limit was for how many authenticating /devices/ you are allowed to have, not how many authenticated users. I have one device handling the hotspot. This issue crept up as I have been adding a lot of MAC auth clients to the hotspot and while we have 500+ hotspot users, only a few dozen active at once. Do I need to move to a L5/L6 or have I mis-configured something? _______________________________________________ Mikrotik mailing list Mikrotik@mail.butchevans.com http://www.butchevans.com/mailman/listinfo/mikrotik Visit http://blog.butchevans.com/ for tutorials related to Mikrotik RouterOS
