Wow, I don't know what to say. Can't turn on firewall on a bridge?!
The X2 has been performing well for us. One MAJOR bug that won't be
addressed until 6.X is turning on firewall on the bridge causes the
boxes to reboot. The second problem is that the ethernet ports are
VERY sensitive. They switch from FDX to HDX or when rebooted don't
come up at all and need to be kicked. Sometimes you have to hard code
the equipment to not negotiate, other times it must be on.
But, other than those two issues. They've been solid.
I'd go with some of the X86 systems from Baltic, Titan, Linktech, etc.
if you have temperature controlled places to keep your equipment. You
can still get them with a lot of ports not as flaky as Mikrotiks.
