Generally, I do PPTP, but you should be able to do L2TP+IPSEC:

What does everybody use for IPSec Remote End User Client Software to
terminate to a MikroTik Router?
I do a lot of Branch Office setups (Tik to Tik) but have never done a Tik
to Windows or Tik to Mac OSX setup.
