I am planning a deployment for a couple of locations that need to be wireless or ethernet based network camera that will be about 1-2000 feet from the focal point. We don't need to identify a face at that distance, but if we can, that's useful. Needs PTZ and outdoor enclosure. Power source won't matter (we have AC at the top of the elevator). I have other needs for cameras that are similar focal points but no PTZ requirements. I will need a DVR that has web access as well. I have considered using something like zoneminder for the DVR, as it is very flexible.
I'm really just looking for recommendations here. If you sell this gear, great. DO NOT RECOMMEND UBIQUITI. I have seen the ubiquiti cams and they do not fill our need for this deployment.
