I personally use rancid as well, and the scripts from here:
http://falz.net/static/rancid/

Makes life easier for me to have them backed up every hour with diffs.

I've been using RANCID with the community MikroTik patch for years with
fantastic results. I wouldn't run any network without RANCID.
