The issue is that I am running this on an Active Directory domain, so I
can't just change to a generic DNS without breaking things. I could
always set up Conditional Forwarders, but for this issue it was simply
easier just to run the patch and hinder IPv6 for a few PCs for a while.

I havn't tried it, but I would think if you setup an MT to accept DNS
requests, set the PCs to use it for DNS and made static entries for
the ones that must by IPv4, it should fix it.

The easiest way to do this is the force the clients to use a DNS server
that won't return AAAA records for the websites in question. Not sure
how you'd accomplish this if it is multiple domains or if the domains
you are interested in use a load balanced approach.
