I want to know if anyone of you is using RouterOS/RBs to give Internet to events via Wireless. We did many events last year and we will continue doing that this year.. I want to improve the service with more people/bandwidth. We use hotspots and RADIUS validation with many AP connected via ethernet or with repeaters connected at 5GHz and giving service in 5Ghz and 2.4GHz to mobile phones.. Any help/comments will be perfect to try to improve our serveice. We usually have 1Gbps simetric or 2x100 Mbps fiber conection in places.. We try to use a lot of APs at a big distance and with few power. Multiband radios 2.4 and 5GHz.. N radios gave us problems with iphones.. and in events with many people the hotspot made the network unusable.. we had to add 192.168.0.1/24 to ip bindings/bypassed to avoid the collapse... We want to be able to give wifi to 500 or 1000 real users. (We have events with 30 or 60 thousand people.) Sometimes we have to work with VLANs to give service to managers and customers at the same time and we need to apply QoS too.
