The .backup should restore correctly on any version of 4.x. It will even
restore on 5.x or 6.x, but there may be some issues.

Since it is a new hard drive you will need to get a new license key if you
wanted to use it in production. You can email Mikrotik support and they can
transfer the license to the new hard drive for a small fee ($10 I think).

The demo/trial key will allow you to restore and then export/copy the
settings you need.
