I think the primary feature of the show is communicating with everyone. Just talking. Secondly you have the round tables, QA, discussion rooms, etc.
Sure the vendors are there and they pay for things and everyone talks to them, but you learn much more from your colleagues. You'd have to ask Rick if you're just curious, I can't say much more than that.
