I saw in the changelog that the SFP LED did not work prior to SwitchOS 1.8. Just installed a pair of RB260GS switches running a 300 meter fiber link. The switches seem to be working fine, but only one has a working SFP LED. Both of these are on SwitchOS 1.9, which theoretically has the "fix" for the LED.
