I'm glad you came here! I mistakenly tried uploading outside of flash initially, thinking it wouldn't do anything. I had no idea they created a ramdisk. Not a big fan of this limitation, though I honestly can't imagine if I've ever seen a router with less than ~12MB of memory available.
Dropped it outside of flash and got my upgrade!
