If you are having problems setting up Grin, use the following installer:
https://github.com/BloddyBaron/Vault712
It comes with an interactive menu to start both a server and a node, and will
in the future allow you to send the cryptocurrency Grin, as well as see log
reports in more detail.
I found it easier to keep track of everything by running it all from an
installer.
