Steffen, I wasn't aware of this feature and this isn't perfect because it requires a fork but it does exactly what I need.
I think I can safely implement a caching system to prevent calling it a billion times. Thanks. I'll hopefully be posting code based on this to tie into the PHP SpamAssassin user interface.
