You won't run into a problem with the clamd, but I ran into a problem with freshclam. freshclam update clamd with the --with-notify option. I tried various fixes that didn't work. I wound up rebuilding from source with the user defang.
Crap. I don't want to have to modify other packages to comply with MD. I'd rather that MD work with the others as they come "out of the box". Otherwise that acts as a barrier to MD acceptance.
