Matthew, there's another thread about this in the archives at: http://lists.roaringpenguin.com/pipermail/mimedefang/2003-May/014337.html > However, it *is* a bit pointless because you've burned bandwidth to > accept the message by then. :/ I don't agree that it's pointless at all, for the reasons you mentioned later (local storage, etc.), but also because a junk message rejected is one less message my users have to deal with. Sure, pre-sorting the mail into the inbox and a "Junk Mail" folder helps, but you still have to at least spend a half second to a second scanning the messages in "Junk Mail" (at least their subject lines). Although spam definitely eats up bandwidth, I'm more concerned with the fact that it wastes people's time and annoys them... ___________________________________________ Michael Sims Project Analyst - Information Technology Crye-Leike Realtors Office: (901)758-5648 Pager: (901)769-3722 ___________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Visit http://www.mimedefang.org and http://www.canit.ca MIMEDefang mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.roaringpenguin.com/mailman/listinfo/mimedefang
