You are using perl version 5.005_03. That version is literally from the
previous century (released March 1999). If you upgrade to something newer,
that warning will go away. For example, 5.6.1 or 5.6.2 should install
cleanly from /usr/ports/lang/perl5, or 5.8.2 or 5.8.3 from
/usr/ports/lang/perl5.8
