Hi, I am running sendmail 8.12.10 on Solaris 8 (say smtphost). I am forwarding all emails from this smtphost to another host host2.mydomain.com (env: Solaris 2.6, sendmail 8.12.10, Mimedefang 2.41, Spamassassin 2.63 clamav 0.70).
The smtphost is logging plenty of mail notices for the same message and the other server host2.mydomain.com is receiving more than one copy (in fact there were 18 copies) of the same email. Below is the message from the syslog file from the smtphost. Apr 20 11:31:01 smtphost sm-mta[12602]: [ID 801593 mail.notice] i3J4JXsO012737: timeout waiting for input from host2.mydomain.com. during client DATA status Apr 20 11:31:01 smtphost sm-mta[12602]: [ID 801593 mail.info] i3J4JXsO012737: [EMAIL PROTECTED], delay=21:11:27, xdelay=01:00:02, mailer=esmtp, pri=1649026, relay=host2.mydomain.com. [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection timed out with host2.mydomain.com. I'd be grateful for any help.
