Now this is REALLY funny ! Perl 5.8.5 is fine ! I remembered that I've installed also about 7 other modules, unrelated to mimedefang. I've installed also p5-Archive-Zip. If this module is installed, mimedefang-multiplexox gets sig6 during reload. I bet that p5-Archive-Zip is referenced somewhere in Mail-Tools or MIME-Mailtools and that there is some bug in there ...
