This patch will be rejected. It is not a MIME-Tools issue; rather, it's a consequence of the way MIMEDefang and MailScanner hand the message off to MIME-Tools. "Fixing" PDF files will "break" other files. It is simply inappropriate to transmit PDF files using Quoted-Printable encoding, and any software that does so deserves to have its PDF attachments broken.
