Interesting...I've had this same message show up in the maillog; generally MIMEDefang has crashed by the time that message shows up. I recently updated clamav to 0.75.1.
I did make some changes to the clamav.conf file -- I scaled down the
recursion depth and number of files to scan within an archive. So far it's
been ok, but these crashes were occurring once every few days prior to the
configuration change.
What version of clamav are you running?

I was running 0.70 and upgraded to 0.75.1.
Now I am seeing messages like that I wasn't seeing before...
