Thanks, i am running the sendmail on one machine, and the milter and multiplexor on another, but becuase i have some milters running, i wanted to keep the milters on the sendmail machine, and the mail-processing daemons on another ,

Yes, sure.  But the milter and multiplexor have to be on the same
machine because they communicate by passing around filenames.  I guess
I should make the multiplexor's "-s" option reject an inet: or inet_any:
socket argument so that people Don't Try This At Home. :-)
