Please provide the full log info for this message ID, as it is important to know how long the session was, and what was specified at each stage. If you have no more information, you should set your Sendmail Milter log level to at least 8. To find everything for this message run "grep j4HEmLId002817" against your mail log. Temporary errors are usually related to some resource being unavailable - disk, memory, DNS, etc. There are several immediate possibilities, such as the MIMEDefang memory limit being reached, or the maximum number of slaves being hit and having none to process the message, or something similar.
