That still stops 99.99% of spam from people who scrape mailing list archives for victims. Also, if you use a locked address to post to a mailing list, you probably want to set the lock type to "Hold for review" rather than "Reject", in case a list subscriber tries to e-mail you off-list. It's kind of rude to post on a mailing list from an address that rejects such legitimate off-list traffic.
