I am 99% sure that it does in my testing with 8.13.3 and 8.13.5 but I'm trying to figure out sendmail logging weirdness as well. For example: tail /var/log/maillog -f | grep -i vacation run vacation from the prompt with no params. You'll probably see: Jan 5 12:30:49 intel1 vacation[22479]: uid 0: usage: vacation [-a alias] [-C cfpath] [-d] [-f db] [-i] [-j] [-l] [-m msg] [-R returnaddr] [-r interval] [-s sender] [-t time] [-U] [-x] [-z] login Create a .forward and .vacation.msg file on a user called test. Put in: \test, "|vacation" or |/usr/adm/sm.bin/vacation or whatever works on your system I would expect to get the same error but I don't and in fact I never get any vacation logs. Any thoughts? Is sendmail just wacky on logging? Regards, KAM _______________________________________________ NOTE: If there is a disclaimer or other legal boilerplate in the above message, it is NULL AND VOID.
